Stepping into something unfamiliar isn’t always easy, but the experiences of others who’ve recently started can offer reassurance and inspiration.
The studio entrance IS NOT ON RED BANK ROAD. Please walk down the alley off Beaufort Avenue, all the way to the end and then follow the signs.
Yes, we have everything you need, including yoga mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters, eye pillows and sandbags.
For heated classes, we recommend bringing your own mat and a towel. Mat sanitiser and cleaning cloths are available, so please clean any studio mat after use and return all equipment neatly for the next class.
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for movement. We practice barefoot, so leave shoes in the cubbies at the entrance. Socks are optional but not recommended for most classes.
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before class to check in, set up your space, and settle in. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early, as this may disturb the class before yours. The studio door is locked at the start of class. If you arrive late, please do not attempt to join unless you have arranged this with your teacher in advance.
Avoid heavy meals 2 hours before your session. A light snack, such as fruit or a handful of nuts, is fine. Practising on an empty stomach helps you feel more comfortable.
Please turn off your mobile phone before entering the studio to maintain a calm, focused environment. Store it in your bag or cubbies.
There is no parking on the private road leading to the studio, as it is for residents only. You can park on nearby streets or take advantage of Sainsbury’s on Red Bank Road, which offers free 2-hour parking and is less than a 5-minute walk from the studio.
Inform your teacher before class if you have any medical conditions or injuries. This allows us to offer modifications and ensure your practice is safe.
